Tianjin Baiqiang Import and Export Co., Ltd. announced today that it has won the bid for the stainless steel supply section of Malaysia's "East Coast Railway Upgrade Project", with a contract value of US$120 million, setting a new record for the company's single order history. The project requires the supply of 50,000 tons of 316L marine-grade stainless steel (in compliance with ASTM A240 standards) for key bridge structures resistant to salt spray corrosion.
Innovation and breakthrough:
Process upgrade: Jointly with TISCO to develop "duplex stainless steel rolling technology", with a 30% increase in strength;
Logistics guarantee: The "weekly express flight" from Tianjin Port to Port Klang is launched to ensure a stable arrival of 3,000 tons per week;
Localized service: A technical support center is set up in Kuala Lumpur to provide on-site welding process guidance.
Project impact: After completion, the railway will connect the economic corridors of six Southeast Asian countries. Baiqiang's successful bid highlights the core competitiveness of "Made in China" in the international infrastructure market.
